Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Left Inverse ("we") handles information across our products - currently the Phantom line (Voice and the free Suite) and Layout Launcher - and this website.

1. The short version

Our apps are built to be private by architecture. Phantom Voice transcribes your speech entirely on your Mac - your audio is never uploaded, stored, or sent to us or anyone else. Layout Launcher reads and restores window layouts locally; it does not transmit anything about your screen. The rest of the Phantom Suite likewise processes data locally on your device. We do not have a server that receives your content.

2. What we do and don't collect

• App content (voice, clipboard, notes, window layouts, files): stays on your Mac. We never receive it.
• Purchases: handled by our payment processor, Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the billing details needed to complete your order (name, email, payment info, country). We receive only what's needed to issue and support your license (e.g. your email and what you bought). See Paddle's privacy policy.
• License keys: tied to the email you purchase with, so we can (re)deliver your key and provide support.
• Website: we use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is cookieless and aggregate: no cookie is set, you are not followed to other sites, and no profile of you is built. We run no advertising trackers. To opt out, add ?no-analytics=1 to any page address and this browser stops sending anything (?no-analytics=0 undoes it). Checkout is handled entirely by Paddle.

3. How we use information

To deliver your license, provide support, process refunds, and (if you opted in) email you product news. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

We share data only with processors needed to run the business - currently Paddle (payments) and Resend (license delivery). They process data on our behalf under their own terms.

5. Data retention

We keep purchase/license records as required for tax and support purposes (typically up to 5 years after your last purchase, or longer where the law requires). You can ask us to delete data we hold about you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us at leftinverse@gmail.com.

7. Children

Our products are not directed to children under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
